Meet Rob

"I believe that Calabogie and its neighbouring communities in Ward 1 are worth protecting! As your elected Councillor, I will give you effective, informed leadership and a strong voice at the Greater Madawaska Township Council."

I am here to give back to a community that has given so much to me.

A historic heart, with a modern beat!

Calabogie has always been a special place for me. As a child, I spent my weekends and summers on the shores of Calabogie Lake. Our home on Kennedy Road was a safe place to play, explore, and grow.

Sixteen years ago, I finally fulfilled a lifelong dream of making Calabogie my year-round home, and now shared with my wife Sharon.

Now, with retirement ahead, I’m eager to pour my energy into my community and would be honoured to serve as one of your two Councillors for Ward 1.

Over six decades in Calabogie, I have experienced change — both positive change, and some less so... we could have done better.

Change is inevitable, but it should be carefully planned and well managed. As a growing community, we need to be on the right side of change — where we acknowledge our history and identity, while building our future through careful planning based on consultation and collaboration.
